You want to start an email campaign to your clients either to tell them about a great listing you have,  maybe to wish them Happy Holidays, or even to invite them to a great lunch party to catch up. Email campaigns can help keep you Top-of-Mind when your past, present, and future clients receive emails from you. So where do you start if you currently don’t have a way to run email campaigns?

There are many email campaign services out there that you can use to design, schedule, and track email campaigns to your lists. Mail Chimp, Constant Contact, Drip, OptinMonster, all these services are available to get your campaigns delivered and report back with some analytics. Who opened the email, who clicked on a link, who signed up for an event, even those who unsubscribed from your list.

Before you jump on in and import your email list to any of these campaign systems you do want to make sure that you have permission to email these people. Places like Mail Chimp and Constant Contact provide forms you can use to sign up for your mailing lists. Others can send an email asking if they would like to be added to the list for future emails. ALWAYS make sure you do have permission if adding a person to your contact list. Just because you collected an email doesn’t give you permission to start sending them emails on a regular basis.

All these campaign systems have great editor templates to create your campaigns to make them visually appealing and fun to look at. If you have any history in using Word or Docs then designing an email is a breeze. Drag and drop and quick upload of custom graphics and pictures are easy. Setting the schedule to send the emails is very straight forward.

Each campaign system has the same to offer, with others offering different options than others. Look around and see what options you would generally like to use. Some have free trials, others have a free option with a cap on how many emails you can have on the list and how many times you can send emails a week. Find the one that works best for what you intend to use email marketing for.
